Wore this outfit today. Very basic really, and nothing new except for the bright red ruffle shirt. I rediscovered this one today when I was looking for something to wear. It was hiding underneath a jacket that I seldom use. I have way too few hangers so they usually hold one shirt and one jacket each.
Bright red is a bit too bright a color for me but otherwise this shirt is perfect! I love ruffle shirts or cravats, especially worn with a vest! Looks quite dandy doesn´t it?
Price tag: Heck if I know... maybe around 40 €, excluding the hat...
Wish list: A white ruffle shirt! I have one, but it is way to big on me... A black ruffle shirt, or perhaps a black lace ruffle cravat, that would be awesome!
Need list: More black pants, I only have three good pairs now! *panics*
Do I spy an Egon Schiele print? (my son's middle name is Egon in honor of him)
ReplyDeleteThe shirt looks great on you - I don't think it's too red, but maybe the lighting toned it down a bit?
It is definitely an Egon Schiele print! My closet (not the one I live in, the one I keep my clothes in) is decorated with several prints of his pantings! No one else in the apartment likes them but me, so they got exiled to my closet. ;)
DeleteThe color is a bit toned down in the pic, and a bit more yellow. The shirt is, in reality, a bright christmas red...
So nice to meet another Schiele fan! I was just talking about him today - drove all night in a blizzard to NYC about 20 years ago to see a show of his drawings.
DeleteBright christmas red is wonderful - enjoy!!!
I love your Steampunky looks!
ReplyDeleteI do love to throw in hints of steampunk! The ever present hat adds to that too of course...
DeleteI adore your style. That vest with the red ruffle shirt peeking out is wonderful- like it was made to be sold together!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I adore anything that adds to my chest and/or shoulders, because I´m decidedly pear shaped otherwise! ;)
DeleteYes, I too love the style, but think the colour is too bright for me. Perhaps you could dye it purple or black?
ReplyDeleteIt´s a synthetic material, polyester I think, so not very dyeable... If I could dye it I would dye it a darker red... I have many black shirts already, and I hate purple, it makes me look yellow... :)
DeleteI always love all of your outfits! I desperately need to find myself a waistcoat and a top hat or bowler. And that top is gorgeous. Btw, I've nominated you for an award :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Everyone needs a waistcoat/vest and a top hat! And they are definitely essential to my style! Thank you for the tag! I´ll try my best to find five more odd habits (won´t have to try very hard)!! ;)
